Hemp can produce more pulp than timber and can be utilized to produce good quality paper. Hemp pulp has a naturally creamy color thereby reducing the need for chemical bleaching. Hemp fiber softens with each wash without degenerating. All products comprising of hemp fiber are recyclable and bio degradable. Why hemp is better than cotton Traditional cotton farming requires 25% of insecticides and 10% of pesticides bt hemp has a natura resistance to diseases nad pests, eliminating the need of external chemicals. Less than 10% of chemicals put on the plants are used by it while the rest is absorbed by air, soil, water and finally our bodies. Cotton is not as effective an insulator as hemp. As compared to cotton, hemp is not only stronger but also more durable and does not mildew. It has anti microbial properties and UV shield, while cultivation requires less water. 1% of the farmland in USA is used for cotton crops while 50% of all pesticides are used for it.
